1936 - the beginning
Transfer of the company “Friedrich Müller Sr.” to the founding of the current company by Fritz Westermann.
It started at Friedrichstrasse 10 in Denkendorf, before moving to its own workshop and home at Schnellenstrasse 15 in Denkendorf in 1938.
1965 - the company grows
Handover of the carpentry shop with two employees from Fritz Westermann to his son Karl Westermann. Little by little, a small carpentry shop becomes a company with a considerable number of employees and a growing property area.
1974 - New construction of the company building
Relocation and construction of the new company building at Albstraße 1 in Denkendorf. The number of employees is now 20 people.
On-time production and first-class assembly are already ensured by modern production technologies and machines.
1992 - generational change
Today's managing director Frank Westermann is himself a master carpenter, wood technician and business economist. In 1992 he joined the family business that specialized in interior design.
Like his father and grandfather, Frank Westermann is continually expanding the company's profile and range of services.
2012 - united forces
Another family member brings a breath of fresh air into the management: Meike Deuschle, Frank Westermann's sister, also joins her parents' business.
A state-of-the-art machine park with a 5-axis machining center and automated panel storage is now available.
2016 - Founding of the wp_westermann products brand
In 2016, the wp_westermann products brand was created and with it the design office wd3_spatial design, led by the managing directors Frank Westermann and Michael Daubner.
In the same year, our motu office furniture series was awarded the AIT Innovation Prize. The tables impressed the jury with their high flexibility of design options and functions as well as the simplified handling.
2022 - multiple awards
The product range of wp_westermann products has now expanded and includes four furniture series: 758 divide, flomo, motu and Xbrick®.
The recognition through renowned awards such as Focus Open, Best Workspaces, the German Design Award and the Top 100 Office Solutions encourages us to continue on our path.
A core team of nine employees exclusively takes care of handling the wp_westermann products projects.

We are driven by the mission of developing furniture that enables users to free themselves from rigid structures. To create spaces in which we can develop naturally because they meet our needs.
Our furniture complements each other, is mobile, easy to use, convertible and easily adapts to what is needed in the here and now. Where flexibility, movement and agility are required, westermann products provides answers.

Our philosophy
We look forward to the future with excitement and are at the same time proud of the path we have traveled so far. Our background is interior design. We carpenters have always been in demand when it comes to finding innovative, individual solutions and implementing them precisely. Functional, durable, sustainable. The optimal working environment should be as flexible as possible: hanging up plans in a hot project phase, brainstorming with the team, pizza for everyone - right at the table. When I need peace and structure, everything is quickly converted.
We make handcrafted office furniture that allows you to work and think agilely. Our furniture offers exactly the space and tools you need. And what you need just changes. How it all began
For over 80 years, the name WESTERMANN has stood for sophisticated interior design and professional implementation of architectural and design concepts. Under the motto “Develop. Create. “Inspire” WESTERMANN creates individual solutions for customers from the administrative, industrial and service sectors. Taking into account complex building physics requirements such as fire protection, acoustics or cooling, we assemble both system solutions and individual furniture and object construction.

Products from our portfolio, which include partition and cupboard systems, object furnishings and tailor-made special solutions, all impress with their unmistakable combination of functionality, design and exclusivity. From advice and design to production and assembly: at WESTERMANN, architects and builders get everything they expect from a first-class interior design specialist. All processes in the company are certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001.

As a product division of WESTERMANN, westermann products, now in the fourth generation of the family business, combines the development and manufacture of adaptive furniture and room systems with over eighty years of experience in carpentry and interior design.
Our adaptive furniture and room systems create multifunctional solutions that enable flexible workspaces. Each handcrafted piece of furniture can be customized according to individual wishes.
The majority of our furniture and room systems are manufactured in-house. We use our highly efficient interior design infrastructure – and our know-how. As a medium-sized company, it is important to us to work with suppliers from the region. This results in short transport routes and long-term business relationships. We practice fair cooperation at eye level and in direct exchange with our partners.
This means we not only know every production step at our suppliers, but also the people behind them. Sustainable business and work is a matter of course for us. We assume comprehensive responsibility in every area of our company - for our environment, for our customers, business partners and suppliers as well as for our employees.
